TUM cordially invites you to the first Sustainability Day to discuss pressing future issues. The day will start with the opening event "The TUM Sustainability Journey" from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Audimax Stammgelände, where TUM President Hoffmann will present the TUM Sustainable Futures Strategy 2030. This event will also be streamed. For detailed information on the entire TUM Sustainability Day and the program, please visit: https://www.tum.de/ueber-die-tum/ziele-und-werte/nachhaltigkeit/sustainability-day
In the afternoon, Holzforschung München, represented by the research groups of Profs. Gabriele Weber-Blaschke and J. Philipp Benz, cordially invites you to visit their booths at the Freising-Weihenstephan campus. We will present our research and teaching activities within the market of opportunities. Sustainability and long-term thinking have been anchored in forestry and wood science for more than 300 years. On one side, we will present topics such as the wood-based circular bioeconomy, climate change mitigation services of forests and wood, and sustainability assessment methods with illustrative objects, resource games, climate app, and posters. On the other side, we want to spotlight the potentials of fungi for enabling a circular bioeconomy, both as materials (e.g. in fungus-wood composites) and biotechnologically.
We look forward to your visit, whether students, staff or guests, to engage in conversation with you!
