On Sept. 20 und 21 2018 TUM and its premises at the study programm devision Forest Science and Ressource Management were hosting the 5th International conference Process Technologies for the Forest&Biobased Product Industries (PTF BPI 2018). 131 authors contributed to turn this event into a high-level meeting with state of the art keynotes, technical papers and presentations. It was a good opportunity for great scientific inputs, networking and a forum for scientific and also friendly discussions.

For the 5th Edition, PTF BPI introduced current themes regarding cascading use of wood integrated in circular economy, implementation of Industry 4.0, data acquisition and lean management, nanotechnology and 3D printing in special keynote sessions held by experts from academia, who presented the latest research and know-how to participants. Following topics were covered in 8 sessions and one meeting with the experts of the FORESDA Interreg Programme:
