TUM After-School Care Center Weihenstephan

A great advantage for working parents is the location of the after-school care center on campus and the resulting short distance to the TUM facilities. For the children, the walk from the nearby elementary school to the after-school care center offers exercise in the fresh air and an opportunity to interact with their peers.

The house was remodelled in 2010 to suit children and conveys a familiar and cozy charm. Spread over three levels, our "Villa" offers enough space to provide an appealing and creative atmosphere in which children can feel comfortable.

The beautiful garden with its old trees is ideal for exercise games and leisure activities - be it on the large outdoor terrace, the self-designed construction trailer or the outdoor chess board with carved wooden figures. In the garden and at the raised garden bed, the children have many opportunities to become active gardeners themselves.

We are an open and hospitable house and offer the families a warm cooperation, with understanding for the respective family situation, completely without prejudices. Our strengths are intuition, lightness and humor. In this way we strengthen the " us-feeling " and create trust.

  • Admission of school children between 6 and 10 years of age
  • Care staff: 3 educators and one additional employee
  • Opening hours of the nursery: Monday to Thursday, 10.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., Friday 10.30 am to 3.00 pm
  • Daily warm lunch and afternoon snack
  • Homework supervision and active leisure time activities
  • Fun and games, situation-appropriate activities
  • Promotion of all basic skills such as social, personal, knowledge and learning skills
  • Active and child-oriented vacation program
  • Closing time maximum 6 weeks per year
  • Registration date for the after school care service is based on the official school enrollment
