Where better for a garden fair to flourish than in the university town of Freising, the hub of horticultural research and education? Here, a Garden Days event awaits you on the TUM campus in Weihenstephan—right in the heart of the green university district.

The Freising-Weihenstephan Garden Days were held for the first time on the Weihenstephan campus in 2025. Following this successful debut, the 2026 Garden Days will take place in collaboration with the TUM School of Life Sciences, HSWT, and the City of Freising.

Look forward to the following again on Mother’s Day weekend 2026:

A new Garden Days event is being established on the Weihenstephan campus in collaboration with the TUM School of Life Sciences and HSWT. Look forward to:

  • Expert nurseries offering a wide range of plant specialties
  • Exhibitors with gardening accessories, handmade crafts, and natural products
  • Practical lectures and information, mostly from Weihenstephan Institutes
  • A varied program of side events, including live music
  • Children’s activities, including tree climbing and various workshops

You can reach the Weihenstephan campus via numerous bus routes from the train station and the surrounding area. There is also a large parking lot available. 

Highlights of the TUM School of Life Sciences and the City of Freising

The TUM School of Life Sciences presents four lectures in German language, see Gartentage information in German. The city of Freising offers two guided tours in Weihenstephan.
